The Advme1608B is an isolated A/D converter that provides analog output after a further D/A conversion. It has 16 input channels that can be set at once as 16 single-ended or 8 differential. The board provides 8 analog outputs.
Conversion Features
The A/D conversion is started up by the software program and it is executed by switching the channels with a multiplexer. The conversion is started from channel 0 to the channel specified by the software program. When the A/D conversion of the final channel is completed, an interrupt can be issued to the host CPU.
Isolation
A photo-coupler isolation is provided between analog I/O and digital circuits.
Update Features
It is possible to update either only one output leaving the other channels untouched (individual update) or all outputs simultaneously (bulk update).
It is possible to perform a batch forced step-down of the output voltage of all channels to 0V at power up or system reset.
