Aurora HiVe Dev Kit is the ideal way to test and use the novel HiVe HPC architecture, which maximizes efficiency, performance and flops per dollar.
The Dev Kit is intended both for HPC pros and final users, operating in many fields, from academia to oil&gas, life sciences, machine learning and manufacturing. It targets:
• customers that want to try the architecture with their applications before a larger scale system commitment
• customer whose computational needs are satisfied by a single node system and want to fully benefit from the unique HiVe configuration
The Kit packages together one complete HiVe server plus all components necessary to water cool it.
The HiVe Development kit comes with preinstalled drivers and operating system plus all software necessary to test and try out.
Easy to deploy, it doesn’t require system administration skills to be installed and operated.
Aurora HiVe is a family of HPC systems optimized for accelerated workloads. The system building block (Aurora HiVe node) is a highly modular integration of different components, and it forms the heart of the Development Kit.
The Aurora HiVe node can have different configurations, depending on the kind of CPU card and accelerators/coprocessors used.
The Development Kit node can have the following configurations:
- 1 x Intel Xeon E3-12xx v3 + 4 x Nvidia Tesla
- 1 x Intel Xeon E3-12xx v3 + 4 x Intel Phi
- 1 x Applied Micro 64 bit ARM + 4 x Nvidia Tesla
All of the components are cooled using the second generation of Aurora Direct Hot Water Cooling.
The blocks building the Dev Kit are:
- Aurora HiVe Node - SERVER
- Koolance cooling system with connection pipes - COOLING
